Ephesians 3:2-3 (KJV); If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Revelation is progressive from dispensation to dispensation and from generation to generation.
However, a study of biblical history reveals that there are men who are behind the revelation of their dispensation.
Take the example of Paul. Paul was given the dispensation of the grace message. It was his gospel from the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
He was very much ahead of his peers in these biblical truths. He was fought by the Jews of his day because they did not understand his teaching and were not privy to the realms from which he ministered.
Of his teachings, the apostle Peter said, “they are hard to be understood.” (2 Peter 3:16).
When a man is behind in the revelation of his dispensation, he becomes a mere spectator of the realities of that revelation and not a participant. More than being a mere spectator, he becomes a critic of these realities because he cannot be a partaker of that of which he has excluded himself by unbelief and indifference.
As a student of the Spirit and of the spiritual times in which we live, you must understand the dispensation in which we live and the revelation of this dispensation.
