Apostle Grace Lubega
Philippians 3:19(KJV); Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
When a man seeks mastery over his flesh, the first place he must start is to tame how much he eats.
Gluttony is a sin.
Our theme scripture refers to men who are gluttonous as those whose God is their belly.
You can never hear God distinctively when you eat indiscriminately, impulsively and uncontrollably.
An overly stuffed belly speaks the language of the flesh.
In Proverbs 23:2, the man of wisdom says, “And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.”
Train yourself to eat less, be deliberate about it.
Men who hear God have tamed their appetites.
You do not have to eat all that is available all the time.
You should not be counted among those who jump to respond any time the flesh whispers a need. You are a man or woman of God.

GOLDEN NUGGET: You can never hear God distinctively when you eat indiscriminately, impulsively and uncontrollably. An overly stuffed belly speaks the language of the flesh.
PRAYER: My Lord, I thank You for this word. Thank You for the Spirit of self-control that works in me. My appetite is tamed and submitted to Your instruction and leading. As my flesh bows to my spirit, Your voice rings with clarity and my vision is sharpened, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
