Of Finding The Word

Of Finding The Word

Apostle Grace Lubega

Proverbs 4:20-22 (KJV), My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh

Every time you listen to or study the Word is an opportunity to walk in the spirit.

This walk is a journey of discovery because His words “are life unto those that FIND them.”

David explained the experience of finding the word this way; “I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.” (Psalms 119:162).

He opened the Word and as he studied it, he discovered a beautiful truth or a new place in God and rejoiced as one who had found treasure.

This is a lesson to us on how to handle the Word. Don’t just read it.

Treat it as an adventure with the Holy Spirit through which you will discover great gems.

When you do so, His revelations will become pearls to you (Matthew 7:6). You will not trample on them or “rend to pieces” He who gave them to you.

You will always deeply honour the God who revealed His heart to you.

GOLDEN NUGGET:

Everytime you listen to or study the Word is an opportunity to walk in the spirit. This walk is a journey of discovery.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for your Word; the entirety of divine wisdom revealed to my spirit. I esteem it more than necessary food. It is sweeter to me than honey. In it, I discover countless treasures to which nothing material may be compared. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
