Apostle Grace Lubega
Genesis 5:24(KJV) And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Enoch’s life as described in our theme scripture is an instruction on prayer.
The Bible reveals that he walked with God. In casting more light on this life, the Amplified Bible says, “Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God.”
This was not a single evening of prayer, a week of prayer or even a month of prayer. This was more than five minutes of mumbled words in the morning before one dashes off to work. It was a habit of prayer.
People are keen to build all sorts of habits: exercise, waking early, or yearly vacations.
Prayer too should be a habit. Romans 12:12 urges us to be constant in prayer. In fact, any serious Christian ought to have a minimum of one hour in daily prayer.
Enoch built his life around fellowship with God and because he did, he became one with God and ceased to be.
A day in prayer may get you a breakthrough in your business but a life in prayer will make that business one with God.
A day in prayer may get you a job but a habit of prayer will make God the foundation of your profession.
The wisdom here is not to make prayer a temporary pursuit for temporary ends but a lifetime habit for eternal rewards.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Prayer should be a habit. Do not make prayer a temporary pursuit for temporary ends but a lifetime habit for eternal rewards.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this knowledge. Prayer is my habit and because it is, my life is an altar. My spirit is constantly in communion with You no matter where I am because I have the wisdom of constancy in prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
