Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 27:4 (KJV): “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”

There are believers who have learned to pray only in times of trouble. The moment storms arise and threaten their peace, they enter into battle mode, binding devils, rebuking darkness, and warring against the enemy. Yet when the pressure lifts and the troubles seem to pass, they return to lives of prayerlessness, spiritual neglect, and indifference toward God.
But this was never God’s design for fellowship with Him.
The place of prayer was not primarily ordained as a place of fighting demons or launching counterattacks against the enemy. Rather, the heart of God is revealed in our theme Scripture. Fellowship was meant to be a place of beholding the beauty of the Lord and enquiring in His temple. This is to be our attitude whether storms are raging around us or all seems calm.
Regardless of the circumstances of your life, God wants you to enter His presence and worship Him for His goodness, for His unfailing love, for His greatness, and for His mighty power. He wants your communion with Him not to be sustained by crisis, but by love.
Beloved, examine your prayer life. Is your fellowship with God shaped only by the challenges you are facing, or has it become a place of selfless communion, reverence, and quiet delight in His presence?
The Father longs to be more than your refuge in trouble; He desires to be your delight at all times. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Examine your prayer life. Is your fellowship with God shaped only by the challenges you are facing, or has it become a place of selfless communion, reverence, and quiet delight in His presence? The Father longs to be more than your refuge in trouble; He desires to be your delight at all times.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I see it as Your loving invitation into deeper intimacy with You. I choose to seek Your face in every season, regardless of what is happening around me. May Your presence be one of the abiding constants of my life. May I never be drawn to You only in times of trouble, nor drift from You when all seems well. Let love mark my walk of communion with You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
