Apostle Grace Lubega
2 Chronicles 26:5 (KJV): “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.”

The Bible reveals a profound truth about a man called Zechariah. It says that he had understanding in the visions of God.
This means that Zechariah not only had visions, but he also understood the visions he received.
The importance of such a grace cannot be overemphasized. I know believers who receive visions but do not understand what they see.
This truth also extends to the Word. There are people who receive so much of the Word and are exposed to revelation after revelation through sermons and teachings, but this does not guarantee that they understand what they hear.
The focus should never be on how much you hear. It should be on how much you understand. This is where growth and fruit are found.
This is why, in the parable of the sower, the Bible speaks in Matthew 13:19 of those who receive the Word but do not understand it. For such people, the enemy snatches it away from their hearts. This means that a word which is not understood stands no chance of bearing fruit because it is stolen by the enemy.
In Proverbs 4:7, the Bible reminds us that wisdom is the principal thing, but in all our getting, we should prioritise understanding.
So, when a word or vision comes to you, take a moment and seek God about it. Never get lost in the excitement of revelation or visions. Wait on God. Let Him explain it and give you the fullness of counsel concerning that matter. Praise Him!

GOLDEN NUGGET: When a word or vision comes to you, take a moment and seek God about it. Never get lost in the excitement of revelation or visions. Wait on God. Let Him explain it and give you the fullness of counsel concerning that matter.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Word. I receive understanding and the grace to discern the meaning, purpose, and counsel behind everything You reveal to me. I never hear without understanding or see without interpretation. Your Word bears fruit in me because I understand it and walk in it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
