When speaking of kingdom authority and greatness, believers often focus on principles such as humility, faith, and positive confession. While these are vital, Scripture reveals a unique pathway to true greatness: the sacrificial labor of intercession, through which we participate in the purposes of God for people, communities, and nations.
In Isaiah’s prophetic vision described in our theme scripture, the Father gazes upon the travail of His Son’s soul and is satisfied. Notice the profound connection between intercession and exaltation: because Christ poured out His soul and stood in the gap for transgressors, God gave Him a portion with the great and allotted Him the spoil of the strong.
This reveals a profound spiritual truth: a life of true intercession is a pathway to greatness. God does not entrust real spiritual authority to those consumed by self-interest. However, every time you step into the secret place of prayer for lost, struggling, or suffering souls, heaven takes notice. As you lay down personal agendas to intercede for all men, the Father expands your spiritual influence and entrusts you with genuine kingdom authority.

As I carry the burdens of others before Your throne, my spiritual circumference is enlarged. You grow me, elevate and increase me. In Your name and for Your glory. Amen.
