Apostle Grace Lubega
Ecclesiastes 10:4 (KJV): “If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.”

One of the greatest threats to spiritual positioning is offence. Our theme scripture instructs us that when offended, do not leave your place.
When provoked, misunderstood, or treated unjustly, whether in marriage, the workplace, or ministry, the temptation is to abandon our God-assigned position. True wisdom requires maintaining a calm, meek spirit rather than reacting in anger, resentment, or self-pity. Taking offence alters your posture and can potentially lead you out of divine alignment.
Consider Moses in Numbers 20. When Israel provoked him, offence compromised his obedience. Instead of speaking to the rock as God instructed, he struck it in anger. Moses allowed the actions of others to dictate his response to God’s command. Consequently, he forfeited the privilege of leading Israel into the Promised Land. Offence moved him out of his spiritual posture.
You can be in the middle of a divine appointment and still jeopardize its fulfillment by yielding to offence. Remaining in your place through love, self-control, and spiritual maturity is what sustains you in the places God has positioned you for the fulfilment of His purposes.

GOLDEN NUGGET: You can be in the middle of a divine appointment and still jeopardize its fulfillment by yielding to offence. Remaining in your place through love, self-control, and spiritual maturity is what sustains you in the places God has positioned you for the fulfilment of His purposes.
PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for this word. Thank You for the wisdom and grace to remain in my place when provoked or misunderstood. I have the strength to guard my heart against bitterness and resentment. By this understanding, I respond to offence in love and maturity, and I am kept anchored in Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
