Apostle Grace Lubega
Joel 2:19, 25 (NKJV): “The Lord answered and said to His people, ‘Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, and you will be satisfied by them; and I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations… So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.”

God operates by a deliberate pattern when He restores His people. Whenever we look to Him for a breakthrough, we must first understand His method, recognizing that specific spiritual processes always precede true restoration.
Every genuine restoration involves three fundamental elements: grain, wine, and oil. Significantly, each element undergoes a distinct process, with wine and oil emerging through crushing and pressing. Grain represents the foundational provision from which bread is produced, the grapes must be crushed to yield wine, and the olives must be pressed heavily to release their oil. The crushing and pressing represented by the wine and oil often speak of the pressures and trials we face in life, which God can use as processing phases to prepare us for what is to come.
Crucially, we must understand the divine order of these elements, beginning first with the grain. Since bread comes from grain, grain, out of which bread comes, represents the living Word and the foundational revelation of God. If a person tries to skip this vital step and attempts to jump straight to restoration without anchoring themselves in the Word, they reveal a misunderstanding of God’s ways.
We must first be positioned in a place of deep understanding regarding what God’s Word says about our specific situation. For instance, if sickness attacks your body, you cannot simply demand healing while ignoring the scriptural anchor; you must actively search the Scriptures to discover what God has declared over your health. The Word always comes first, laying an unshakeable groundwork of truth before the outward manifestation of restoration takes place.

GOLDEN NUGGET: The Word always comes first, laying an unshakeable groundwork of truth before the outward manifestation of restoration takes place.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I know that You are the God of restoration. Today, I understand Your pattern and live out its realities. The Bible says that You sent Your Word and healed the people. This Word dwells richly in my spirit and is my Strong Anchor regardless of the pressures of life. I abide by it and allow it to consume every aspect of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
