Apostle Grace Lubega
Haggai 1:7-8(KJV); Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord.
Success in life should never breed indifference to the presence of God. Unfortunately, this is the reality in the lives of some believers. When success, influence and wealth came their way, they distanced themselves from God.
In our theme scripture, God says, “Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified”
Understand that reference here to the house of God is more than a physical building. In the New Testament dispensation, the Church is more than the building because the presence of God is not restricted to a physical structure.
God is interested in how you relate with His presence. Are you yielded to the things that grant you deeper access to the things of the Spirit? Are you cultivating a relationship with Him through time in His Word and in prayer?
Consider your ways.
No matter how many blessings come your way, make it a life choice to delve deeper into the presence of God. Be the richest businessman in your nation and yet carrying depth in the things of God. Be the most successful lawyer in your region but with depth.
Your success should not be the only inspiration people draw from you. May your relationship with God, in spite of your success, be the greatest of inspirations.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 27:4, Psalm 42:1
GOLDEN NUGGET: Your success should not be the only inspiration people draw from you. May your relationship with God, in spite of your success, be the greatest of inspirations.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. Lord, You have my attention, my hopes and all my dreams. You are the beginning and the end of my life. Indeed You have blessed me but I choose to go deeper in You because there is no greater honour than to know You more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
