Genesis 13: 10-15(KJV); And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other…And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Our theme scripture reveals two types of sight. One is the sight exercised by man through his own will and ability.
This is how Lot saw the land before him. He lifted up his eyes, beheld the beauty and made his choice based on his own understanding of what was good.
The second type of sight is sight by God. The Lord told Abraham to also lift up his eyes and look at the land before him and what he saw was what was given unto him.
Both men lifted up their eyes, both saw the land but the results of their visions were different. Lot ended up in a place of wickedness, a land that he later lost when the judgment of God came upon it (Genesis 19:1-30).
On the other hand, Abraham thrived in the place that he chose and grew in both substance and influence (Genesis 26:13).
True vision starts with God, His leading and His instruction.
When vision starts with a man, that man will always error in sight because he will be deceived by physical beauty and what the material world has to offer. When vision starts with God, it sees beyond the physical realm to the realities of the spirit and the limitlessness therein.

通过神的眼光看(第一部分)
我们的主题经文揭示了两种类型的视觉。一种是人类通过自己的意志和能力所锻炼的视力。
罗得就是这样看见他面前的地。他抬起眼睛,看到了美丽,并根据自己对好的认知做出了选择。
第二视觉是上帝的视觉类型。 耶和华吩咐亚伯拉罕举目观看他面前的地,所看见的就是所赐给他的。
