2 Kings 13:20-21(KJV); And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
The great prophet of God Elisha, was truly anointed!
He was so anointed that even after his death, when a dead man was thrown into his sepulchre and the dead man touched Elisha’s bones, the man came back to life.
Think about it child of God!
Today, there is a man who is alive, who reads the Word of God every day and speaks in tongues. However, if a dead man were to be brought to that man, he would not succeed in even provoking a whisper of breath out of him.
Yet the Bible tells us that a lifeless man brought another man to life.
What manner of anointing is that?!
This dead man was not commanded to rise. He did not revive out of ten hours of prayer. In fact, it was a mere coincidence that he was thrown into Elisha’s sepulchre. But coincidence or no coincidence, mistake or no mistake, planned or unplanned, the man got in contact with a man who had once walked the surface of the earth and was ANOINTED.
Indeed, Elisha is proof that God can anoint a man so heavily that whatsoever touches that man receives life because every fibre of his spirit, soul and body is altered by the anointing.
Understand that Elisha was a man under the Old Testament dispensation. He was not a recipient of greater promises. His story was recorded for our learning to provoke us to hunger for greater spiritual realities. If he experienced this level of glory, how much more the spirits of men that are reconciled to God?
You are a candidate for more, child of God. The anointing upon your life must speak; that you will sit on a bus and the man next to you will receive deliverance without you saying a word; that you will walk through a mall and cancer will leave the woman that brushes past you without you laying hands on her.
