John 14:13-14 (KJV); And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.
The Word of God is the foundation of the liberties that we have in God. In James 1:25, it is referred to as the perfect law of liberty.
But do all Christians get to enjoy the liberties of the Word? Not necessarily.
This is because not many people understand how this liberty works.
When God gave us His Word, it was not based on individual circumstances, that is, it’s operation was not (and is not) confined to the uniqueness of someone’s position in life. When He sent the Word, He gave us the full picture of it and left it to us to define how far we desire to go in the liberties that the Word presents.
Take the example of our theme scripture. It says, “WHATSOEVER YOU ASK.” Whatsoever has no limitation in it but one man may read it and believe God for a pair of shoes and another will read it and believe God for the grace to transform nations. These are two different men exercising liberty in different ways because of their interpretation of the possibilities in the Word.
Consider a blank canvas. On it, one man paints a tree, while another paints a forest. Each picture depends on what the artist sees.
As far as the Word is concerned, your journey in and by it is defined by what is revealed to you.

Ekigambo kya Katonda gwe musingi gw’eddembe lye tulina mu Katonda. Mu Yakobo 1:25, kimanyikiddwa ng’amateeka agatuukiridde ag’eddembe.
Naye abakristaayo bonna bafuna obusobozi okunyumirwa eddembe ly’Ekigambo? Ssi bwe kiri.
Kino kiri lwakubeera nti abantu ssi bangi abategeera engeri eddembe lino gye likolamu.
Katonda bwe yatuwa Ekigambo kye, kyali tekyesigamye ku mbeera z’abantu, ekitegeeza nti, obukozi bwakyo bwali tebwasibibwa (era tebusibiddwa) ku mbeera omuntu gy’alimu mu bulamu. Bwe yatuwa Ekigambo, yatuwa ekifaananyi kya kyo ekijjuvu n’akitulekera tunnyonnyole wala kyenkana ki gye twagala okugenda mu kutambulira mu ddembe Ekigambo lye kirambulula.

KATIKA UHURU WA NENO

Yohana 14:13-14 (KJV); Nanyi mkiomba lolote kwa jina langu, hilo nitalifanya, ili Baba atukuzwe ndani ya Mwana. Mkiniomba neno lolote kwa jina langu, nitalifanya. Ahadi ya kupewa Roho Mtakatifu.
Neno la Mungu ni msingi wa uhuru tulio nao katika Mungu. Katika Yakobo 1:25, inajulikana kama sheria kamilifu iliyo ya uhuru.
Lakini je, Wakristo wote wanafurahia uhuru wa Neno? La hasha.
Hii ni kwa sababu si watu wengi wanaoelewa jinsi uhuru huu unavyofanya kazi.
Wakati Mungu alitupa Neno lake, haikutegemea hali ya mtu binafsi, yaani, operesheni yake haikufungwa (na haifungwi) kwa upekee wa nafasi ya mtu katika maisha. Alipotuma Neno, Alitupa picha kamili na kutuachia kufafanua umbali tunaotamani kwenda katika uhuru ambao Neno linawasilisha.
Chukua mfano wa andiko letu kuu. Linasema, “MKIOMBA LOLOTE.” Lolote halina kikomo ndani yake lakini mtu mmoja anaweza kulisoma na kumwamini Mungu kwa jozi ya viatu na mwingine ataisoma na kumwamini Mungu kwa neema ya kubadilisha mataifa. Hawa ni watu wawili tofauti wanaotumia uhuru kwa njia tofauti kwa sababu ya tafsiri yao ya uwezekano katika Neno.
Fikiria turubai iliyo tupu. Kwake, mtu mmoja huchora mti, wakati mwingine huchora msitu. Kila picha inategemea kile ambacho msanii anaona.
Kadri Neno linavyohusika, safari yako ndani yake na kupitia kwake inafafanuliwa na kile kilichofunuliwa kwako.
