Apostle Grace Lubega
2 Kings 2:15 (NKJV): “Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said, ‘The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.’ And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.”
—
For years, the sons of the prophets knew Elisha as a simple servant, the man who merely poured water on the hands of Elijah. Yet, the moment Elijah ascended, God pulled back the veil. They were able to recognize what God had placed upon Elisha, compelling them to declare, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They realized that the man standing before them was no longer an ordinary helper, but a spiritual giant with a great mantle.
In your walk of faith, it is critical that God opens your spiritual eyes to discern the true identity of the people He has placed in your life. Many believers mistreat, ignore, or dishonor key destiny helpers simply because they relate to them only according to the flesh. You must ask yourself: Who is my husband in the realm of the spirit? Who is my wife? What grace does my boss or employer carry beyond their corporate title? When God reveals the spiritual reality of those around you, your posture, respect, and alignment shift radically.
Scripture warns us in Hebrews 13:2 that some have entertained angels without even knowing it! When you lack spiritual vision, you risk mishandling, dishonoring, or ignoring the very people sent to bring your breakthrough. Never judge anyone by their natural limitations, human flaws, or familiar background. Pray that the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to see who people truly are in the realm of the spirit, so you never miss the grace, protection, and blessing wrapped in their presence.

GOLDEN NUGGET: In your walk of faith, it is critical that God opens your spiritual eyes to discern the true identity of the people He has placed in your life.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for giving me spiritual discernment and vision. Open my eyes to see the true spiritual identities of the people You have placed in my life. Teach me never to evaluate anyone, be it, family, leaders, colleagues, or even strangers through the lens of the flesh. May I recognize Your grace and position myself to receive every spiritual blessing and assignment attached to my divine connections. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
