Apostle Grace Lubega
Ecclesiastes 6:2 (NKJV): “A man to whom God has given riches and wealth and honor, so that he lacks nothing for himself of all he desires, yet God does not give him power to eat of it, but a foreigner consumes it. This is vanity, and it is an evil affliction.”

Scripture is very clear about the true spiritual nature of lack: poverty is a disease. In Ecclesiastes, the inability to enjoy or keep wealth is called an “evil affliction.” Just because poverty does not cause physical pain in your body does not mean it isn’t a sickness. To God, financial paralysis is a disease of the mind and spirit that destroys lives, limits destinies, and affects the spread of the Gospel.
Because of this, one of the main responsibilities of the Church is to teach believers how to build and maintain kingdom wealth. Just as the Church is called to lay hands on the sick, cast out demons, and set captives free, it also has a duty to break the trap of poverty through clear, God-given truth.
Although the message of prosperity has sometimes been abused or misunderstood, human mistakes do not erase God’s instructions. We cannot stay silent just because others got it wrong. The Church must boldly teach believers the principles of financial growth, hard work, and wise stewardship. When you see poverty for what it truly is, a disease to be cured rather than a burden to carry, you will stand on God’s Word and walk in complete financial freedom.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Just as the Church is called to lay hands on the sick, cast out demons, and set captives free, it also has a duty to break the trap of poverty through clear, God-given truth.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for opening my eyes to the truth of Your Word. I reject every form of poverty and lack, knowing that economic hardship has no place in my covenant with You. Teach me Your principles of growth, wisdom, and stewardship so that I can walk in Your abundance and use my resources to expand Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
