1 Corinthians 5:3-4 (KJV); For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
When people speak of being with others in spirit, they usually mean that they agree with the idea or purpose of a meeting, though they may be unable to attend it in person.
“I am sorry I cannot make it for the fellowship,” a man may say, “ but I will be with you in spirit.”
This is far removed from what Paul in our theme scripture meant. When Paul told the Corinthian church that though absent in body, he would be present in spirit, he meant it literally.
He went on to assure them that when they gathered, his spirit would be present observing the proceedings of the meeting. He did not mean being present through the extension of sentiment, he meant that his spirit would be among them as they discussed the matter at hand.
This truth reveals the abilities of the spirit of a man. Paul was letting us know how much we are capable of.
The spirit man is not limited by space or by time!
When Paul says we serve God with our spirits, it is in line with these great abilities (Romans 1:9).
While the men of this world mine the exhaustible depths of the earth for gold, while they dig deep into the wells of the human mind to stretch the boundaries of creativity and innovation, while they explore the frontiers of space in search of possibilities, the Church must start to explore the latent power of the human spirit which is regenerated in Christ. When we change the world, it will not be because we relied on who we were in the flesh but because we tapped into who we are in spirit.

“Neetonda sijja kusobola kubaawo mu kusaba,” omuntu bw’ayinza okugamba, “naye nja kubeera namwe mu mwoyo.”
Kino kiri wala n’ekyo Paulo kye yali ategeeza mu kyawandiikibwa kyaffe ekigguddewo. Paulo bwe yategeeza ekkanisa y’abakkolinso nti yadde nga taliiwo mu mubiri, ajja kubeeranga nabo mu mwoyo, yali akitegeereza ddala .

Amazima gano gabikkula obusobozi bw’omwoyo gw’omuntu. Paulo yali atumanyisa obungi bw’obusobozi bwaffe.
Omwoyo gw’omuntu tegukugirwa bbanga oba obudde!
Paulo bw’agamba nti tuweereza Katonda n’emyoyo gyaffe, ekyo kyogera ku busobozi buno obusukkulumu (Abaruumi 1:9).

Abantu obu babaza hakuba n’abandi omu mwoyo, bakira kumanyisa ngu bakwikiraniza n’ekitekerezo rundi ekigenderwa ky’okwitirana, nobubakuba batakusobora okwehikira.
“Munganyire tinsoboire kwija omukusorokana,” omuntu akusobora kubaza atyo, “baitu ninyija kuba nainywe omu mwoyo.”

1 Wakorintho 5:3-4 (KJV); Kwa maana kweli, nisipokuwapo kwa mwili, lakini nikiwapo kwa roho, mimi mwenyewe nimekwisha kumhukumu yeye aliyetenda jambo hilo, kana kwamba nikiwapo. Katika jina la Bwana wetu Yesu, ninyi mkiwa mmekusanyika pamoja na roho yangu, pamoja na uweza wa Bwana wetu Yesu;
Wakati watu wanazungumza juu ya kuwa na wengine katika roho, kwa kawaida wanamaanisha kwamba wanakubaliana na wazo au kusudi la mkutano, ingawa wanaweza wasiweze kuhudhuria kibinafsi.
“Samahani siwezi kufika kwa ushirika,” mtu anaweza kusema, “lakini nitakuwa nawe kwa roho.”
Hii ni mbali sana na kile Paulo katika maandiko yetu ya kimantiki alimaanisha. Wakati Paulo aliliambia kanisa la Korintho kwamba ingawa hayupo mwilini, atakuwepo katika roho, alimaanisha kihalisi.
Aliendelea kuwahakikishia kuwa wakati walipokusanyika, roho yake ingekuwepo ikifuatilia shughuli za mkutano huo. Hakumaanisha kuwapo kupitia kupanua hisia, alimaanisha kwamba roho yake ingekuwa kati yao wakati wanajadili jambo hilo.
Ukweli huu unafunua uwezo wa roho ya mtu. Paulo alikuwa akitujulisha ni kiasi gani tunaweza.
Roho hauzuiliwi na nafasi au kwa wakati!
Wakati Paulo anasema tunamtumikia Mungu na roho zetu, utumishi huo ni sawa na uwezo huu mkubwa (Warumi 1: 9).
Wakati watu wa ulimwengu huu wakichimba dhahabu ya dunia, wakati wanachimba ndani ya visima vya akili ya mwanadamu ili kunyoosha mipaka ya ubunifu na uvumbuzi, wakati wanachunguza mipaka ya nafasi kutafuta uwezekano, Kanisa lazima lianze kuchunguza nguvu iliyofichika ya roho ya mwanadamu ambayo imezaliwa upya katika Kristo. Tunapobadilisha ulimwengu, haitakuwa kwa sababu tulitegemea uwezo wetu katika mwili bali kwa sababu tulitambua uwezo wetu katika roho.

UJUMBE MKUU: Wakati watu wa ulimwengu huu wanachimba kina kirefu cha dunia kwa dhahabu, wakati wanachimba ndani ya visima vya akili ya mwanadamu ili kunyoosha mipaka ya ubunifu na uvumbuzi, wakati wanachunguza mipaka ya nafasi kutafuta uwezekano, Kanisa lazima lianze kuchunguza nguvu za siri za roho ya mwanadamu ambayo imezaliwa upya katika Kristo. Tunapobadilisha ulimwengu, haitakuwa kwa sababu tulitegemea uwezo wetu katika mwili lakini kwa sababu tulitambua uwezo wetu katika roho.
SALA: Baba Mpenzi, Ninakushukuru kwa ukweli huu. Ninafurahi kwa ukuu wa roho ndani yangu. Ninajua nguvu yake iliyofichika na ninajizoeza kwa uhuru ambao umenipa. Siwezi kamwe kutumia uhuru huu kwa uovu lakini kufungua roho yangu ili Unitumie zaidi ya mipaka ya wakati na nafasi. Katika jina la Yesu, Amina.

★ 哥林多前书5:3-4 CNVS “我身体虽然不在你们那里,心灵却与你们在一起,好象我亲身在那里审判了作这件事的人, 就是当你们奉我们主耶稣的名聚集在一起,我的灵在那里,我们主耶稣的权能也同在的时候,”
当人们谈到精神上与他人在一起时,通常意味着他们同意会议的想法或目的,尽管他们可能无法亲自出席会议。
“很抱歉,我不能参加团契,”一个人可能会说,“但我会在精神上与你同在。”
这与保罗在圣经主题中的意思相去甚远。当保罗告诉哥林多教会,虽然他身体上不在,但精神上也会在,他是按字面意思说的。

Poachers are killing rhinos at an alarming rate – if they continue like this rhinos will disappear from our planet within our lifetime.
The zebra's biggest threats are habitat loss due to ranching and farming and competition for water with livestock. Historically, there were over 15,000 Grevy's zebras. However, there are only about 2,500 remaining today.
