1 Peter 5:6-7(KJV); Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
A care-free life before God is a mark of humility. Worry on the other hand is a burden of the proud.
In our theme scripture, the instruction is clear; humble yourselves before God by casting your cares upon Him because He cares for you.
If you find yourself living life as though the weight of the entire world has been placed on your shoulders, then in the depth of your spirit, your issue is pride.
The humble leave their cares and concerns to God and choose the sacred path of rest while the proud cling to their troubles because they see themselves as being fully capable of resolving them without God’s involvement.
Pride is what keeps you awake at night gnawing and pondering on an issue in search of answers.
Pride is what traps you in a constant state of anxiety because of the uncertainties of tomorrow.
God is eager to pluck you out of that situation. In true humility, yield and leave your cares and worries to Him. Rest!
