Apostle Grace Lubega
Haggai 1:5-7(KJV); Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
The seed of greatness seeks to serve many. The reason why some are not elevated in influence and wealth is because the vision of their lives is limited to themselves and their immediate family. They do not dream for their communities, nation or the world.
The people in our theme scripture were the subjects of this vice.
When God admonishes them to consider their ways, it is because when He weighed their ideals and aspirations, He found them wanting. They gave for their sake, worked for themselves, sought comfort and drink only for themselves.
The more self centred you are, the more you limit God in what He wants to do through you.
God wants to give you the world. But if He searches your heart, will He find that your dream is a cosy and comfortable life for yourself with no consideration for the orphaned and hungry in your country?
He wants to shake the wealth of the nations in your direction and yet all you wish for are clothes for your body, a nice car and a big house so people can marvel at how much you have ‘arrived’?
Consider your ways and revisit your dreams. God cannot give a man the world if the end of that man’s vision is himself.

GOLDEN NUGGET: The seed of greatness seeks to serve many. Consider your ways and revisit your dreams. God cannot give a man the world if the end of that man’s vision is himself.
PRAYER: Father, I am grateful for this Word. You have promised me nations and this is the vision I cultivate in my spirit. My heart beats for the transformation of many because You have taught me to look past my personal desires. You use me to change this world to the glory of Your name, Amen.
