Apostle Grace Lubega
Acts 16:16-18 (KJV); And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
The ability to distinguish voices in the realm of the spirit is a mark of a mature Christian.
Simply because individuals speak similarly does not mean that they have the same language in the realm of spirits.
Many people judge similarity based on speech and never on language. Such people can easily be misled by the enemy.
For example, in our theme scripture, the girl with the spirit of divination was accurate in her speech. What she said about Paul and his colleagues was true. They were servants of the Most High and they had come to show men the way of salvation.
If she was right, why did Paul rebuke the spirit out of her?
Because he was a man who knew the difference between voices. Despite her accuracy, this was the voice of the devil. It takes great wisdom to tell the difference.
I urge you to listen to more than just speech, listen to the language too. By language, we distinguish voices in the realm of the spirit.

GOLDEN NUGGET: The ability to distinguish voices in the realm of the spirit is a mark of a mature Christian. By language, we distinguish voices in the realm of the spirit.
PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this wisdom. It preserves and keeps me from the deceptions that come by knowing only speech and never language. I can never be diverted by the tricks of the enemy because I know how to distinguish voices, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
