Apostle Grace Lubega
1 John 2:15 (KJV): “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Believers are often admonished not to be worldly, but what does being worldly mean?
At its core, being worldly means being able to give to the world what you are unwilling or unable to give to God. It is a life where devotion, excellence, and sacrifice are poured into worldly pursuits, while the things of God receive the bare minimum.
For example, there are people who consistently arrive early at their jobs because they fear the consequences of lateness. Yet, when their spiritual lives are examined, they habitually arrive late to church. This is an expression of worldliness.
Similarly, if you can give your very best effort to secure a million-dollar deal but offer a lacklustre performance when it comes to kingdom assignments, that too reflects a worldly mindset.
Heaven’s demand of every believer is clear: we are called to give more to the kingdom of God than we ever give to the world.
May your life never be weighed and found to favor the world more than it honours God. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Heaven’s demand of every believer is clear: we are called to give more to the kingdom of God than we ever give to the world.
PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for calling me into a higher way of living. You search my heart and deal with every area where I have placed the world above You. I am delivered from divided loyalties. I give my best—my time, energy, excellence, and devotion—to the things that matter eternally. My life brings You honor, and my priorities reflect my love for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
