Apostle Grace Lubega
2 Corinthians 8:7 (NIV); But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you —see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
I have seen Christians who treat their gifts, talents and time as though it were a favour they were doing the Lord. They behave like the Church cannot exist without their voices, their brilliant minds or organizational skills.
As a worshipper, God does not need your voice, He is interested in your heart. That is why there are men with no singing voices but if they took up a microphone to worship, they would move heaven.
Your academic credentials are not the primary reason you are qualified to serve. God can anoint a man who does not have your degree and still teach him to execute more excellently than you.
Your gift only positions you but it does not define the excellence of your service to God. It is only by giving your gift to God that He refines it and sharpens it as the perfect tool for ministry.
A man with only a gift or qualification is replaceable. A man whose heart is in the presence of God is hard to replace.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Your gift only positions you but it does not define the excellence of your service to God. It is only by giving your gift to God that He refines it and sharpens it as the perfect tool for ministry.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You because every day, You cultivate in me a heart of true service. I serve with joy, diligence and utmost reverence for the altar You have entrusted me with. I do all things as unto You, to the glory of Your name, Amen.
