Hebrews 2:14-15 (KJV); Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
The fear of death keeps men in perpetual bondage.
This bondage is evident in the lives of men who constantly expect bad news. There are people who when they receive a call from home, the first thought is that someone has passed away or some tragedy has occurred.
They live in fear of their own deaths, of their children dying, of their spouses dying and of their parents dying. The possibility of death is always looming at the forefront of their minds. That is a form of bondage. This is not how a child of God has to live. You are not supposed to be afraid of death.
It does not matter how menacingly death casts its shadow over the world, as a child of God, fear is not your portion!
God has promised to keep you. He has said that with long life He will satisfy you and show you His salvation (Psalm 91:16). He says that a thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you! (Psalm 91:7).
Refuse to fear!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Because I am born of You, I refuse to fear. I am bold in spirit and strong in faith. Whether a plague sweeps across the world, whether wars shake nations, death is far from me because I am kept by You. I can never die before my time because I must fulfill my assignment on the earth. Okutiina rufu nikureetera abantu baaguma omu buhuuku obutoosha.
Obuhuuku obu nibureebwa gye omu magara g’abantu abatuura bategyereize amakuru mabi. Hariho abantu abamwe, ab’owaabo ku barikubateerera esimu, ekibarikubanza kuteekateeka n’okugira ngu haine owaafa ningashi haine akagwe akaabahikaho.
Nibatuura omu kutiina kw’okufa kwaabo, okufa kw’abaana baabo, okufa kw’abakundwa baabo hamwe n’okufa kw’abazaire baabo. Ekiteekateeko ky’okufa kituura kiri omu maisho g’ebiteekateeko byaabo. Okubohwa kweyolekereza omubwomezi bw’abantu abaikakara nibanihira amakuru amabi. Banu nubo abantu abo, buli kasumi obubatunga esimu kuruga omuka, ekitekerezo ekibanza kubaizira kiba eky’omuntu weena asobora kuba afiire rundi habaireho akabi.

Waebrania 2:14-15 (KJV); Basi, kwa kuwa watoto wameshiriki damu na mwili, yeye naye vivyo hivyo alishiriki yayo hayo, ili kwa njia ya mauti amharibu yeye aliyekuwa na nguvu za mauti, yaani, Ibilisi,awaache huru wale ambao kwamba maisha yao yote kwa hofu ya mauti walikuwa katika hali ya utumwa.
Hofu ya kifo huwaweka watu daima kwenye kifungo.
Kifungo hiki ni dhahiri kwenye maisha ya watu ambao wanatarajia habari mbaya. Kuna watu ambao wakipokea simu kutoka nyumbani, wazo la kwanza ni kuwa kuna mtu aliyefariki au janga ambalo limetokea.
Wanaishi kwenye hofu ya vifo vyao, watoto wao kufa, wake au waume zao kufa na wazazi wao kufariki. Uwezekano wa kifo daima huzunguka kwenye fikra zao. Hii ni aina ya kifungo. Hivi sivyo mtoto wa Mungu anavyotakiwa kuishi. Hutakiwi kuogopa kifo.
Haijalishi namna kifo cha kutisha kitaweka uvuli wake katika dunia, wewe kama mwana wa Mungu, hofu sio fungu lako.
Mungu ameahidi kukutunza. Amesema kwamba kwa siku nyingi atatushibisha na kutuonyesha wokovu wake (Zaburi 91:16). Anasema ijapo watu elfu wataanguka ubavuni pako, na kumi elfu katika mkono wako wa kuume, hata hivyo hautakukaribia wewe.( Zaburi 91:7)
