Apostle Grace Lubega
Genesis 39:2-4 (KJV); And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
Some Christians are labouring under the spirit of slavery but they do not know it.
Part of this ignorance stems from the fact that even in slavery, there are appointments and promotions.
Such was the experience of Joseph. He was a slave in Potiphar’s house but was promoted to overseer over his master’s house.
This means that it is possible for a man to grow in the ranks in career or business but still be a slave.
God has not called us to a life of slavery but to sonship. In Romans 8:16-17, the Bible says, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
You must exercise the conscience of a seed of God in whatever you do. It does not matter if the circumstances of your life have placed certain men above you and that you have to serve them and pander to their dictates and desires.
Work as a seed of God not as a slave; serve as a seed of God and never a slave.

GOLDEN NUGGET: You must exercise the conscience of a seed of God in whatever you do. Work as a seed of God not as a slave; serve as a seed of God and never a slave.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for Christ’s sacrifice at Calvary that made me a seed of God and joint heir with Christ. This is the mindset by which I live, regardless of my physical circumstances. My labours and the works of my hands bear the testimony of sonship and not the sweat of slavery, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
