Apostle Grace Lubega
John 17:22 (KJV); And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
We are one with God and Christ.
As infallible as this truth is, this unity could not have been possible without God elevating us to the same glory that He possesses. This is why, in order to achieve the unity referred to in our theme scripture, Christ gave us the same glory that He was given by God the Father. It cannot be emphasised enough that He did not merely give us glory. In His own words, He says, “the glory which you have given me, I have given them.”
Think about this for a moment and ponder the possibilities that come with such a great privilege. You carry the glory of the Son of God, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. He is, like S.M Lockridge, the Baptist Minister put it, the centrepiece of civilization and the greatest phenomenon that has ever crossed the horizon of this world.
When He gave you His glory, He did not transfer only a portion of it. The love of God does not avail transformation in half measures; God is extreme when it comes to giving to the sons of men. So, when He gave you glory, He gave you all of it.
Thus, everything Jesus can do, you can do. By this, I do not mean what He could do when He was in the flesh but also what He can do now as the victorious one seated in exceedingly great power at the right hand of the Father, the source of knowledge, the fountain of all wisdom and the wellspring of life!
Such is the glory of the Church, His body!
We must awaken to this consciousness every day and abandon any manner of limitation in how we think. When we shun this consciousness as the musings of fanatics with delusions of grandeur, we in essence scorn the precious gift of glory handed to us.
Don’t cower in false humility at the thought that the same glory that Christ has is the same glory that you have; the same power He can exercise is the same power you can exercise; the same influence He has is the same influence that you have.

GOLDEN NUGGET: You carry the glory of the Son of God. When He gave you His glory, He did not transfer only a portion of it. The love of God does not avail transformation in half measures; God is extreme when it comes to giving to the sons of men. So, when He gave you glory, He gave you all of it.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. The Bible says that He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit with the Lord. What a glory, to understand that I am one with You. I live in this consciousness every day. It is what stirs in me the most holy emotions and elevates my view of life and of the world. By this wisdom, I live beyond limitation and I do great exploits for Your glory, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
