Apostle Grace Lubega
Luke 6:26 (KJV); Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
As you mature in God, He deals with how you handle praise and criticism from men. The Lord cannot immunise you against the criticism of men when He has not made you immune to their praises also.
He knows that if you live by the praises of men, their criticism can kill you.
The Message version of our theme scripture puts it succinctly when it says, “There’s trouble ahead when you live only for the approval of others, saying what flatters them, doing what indulges them. Popularity contests are not truth contests—look how many scoundrel preachers were approved by your ancestors! Your task is to be true, not popular.”
The most important thing is what God has to say about you. Even when men praise you for something that you have done, it counts for nothing if the Lord finds that you have erred and gone against His principles.
If men criticise you for what you have done, it is sufficient satisfaction if the Lord tells you, ‘well done my good and faithful servant.’
History has proved that the masses can be wrong. One man said that sanity is not statistical. Another said that if the madness of a nation disturbs one solitary man, it is not enough to say that the man is mad.
Stay true. It is God’s opinion that makes the difference.

GOLDEN NUGGET: The Lord cannot immunise you against the criticism of men when He has not made you immune to their praises also.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for who I am. I refuse to be swayed by the words and flatteries of men. I look to You as my vindication, justification and the lifter of my head. I am who You say that I am and I stand in the blessed assurance that I am approved by You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
