Apostle Grace Lubega
Job 1:9-12 (NKJV): So Satan answered the LORD and said, ‘Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!’ And the LORD said to Satan, ‘Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.'”

There are situations in life that you will face simply because God allowed them. But the fact that God allowed them does not mean that the devil has the upper hand. It does not mean that heaven has lost control or that the forces of darkness are now free to do as they please in your life.
In these moments, God is always in control and the enemy is always on a leash.
As revealed in the story of Job, Satan could only go as far as God permitted him. The enemy cannot run rampant in your life. If God has allowed certain circumstances, the devil cannot take liberties or cross boundaries that the Lord has drawn. This is why the assurance in 1 Corinthians 10:13 is that God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear.
For this reason, a man in the purpose of God cannot die before his time regardless of what he goes through. The storms may rise, the fire may burn, the winds may beat against him, but as long as he is in the middle of divine will, death has no final say over him.
Rest in the assurance that if God allowed it, then it must serve a greater purpose. You will not come out weaker; you will come out better. You will not come out defeated; you will come out stronger. You will end it wiser, richer and more established in the faithfulness of God. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Romans 8:28; Luke 22:31
GOLDEN NUGGET: God is always in control and the enemy is always on a leash.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this word. I live above fear and rest in the assurance that you have full control of my life. You strengthen my heart to trust You in every season of testing, knowing that all things are working together for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
