Apostle Grace Lubega
Acts 17:27 (KJV); That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
God is not far. He is near to every one of us.
But why is it that sometimes, He seems distant from us?
In Isaiah 11:2, the Bible speaks of the Spirits of God that are operating on the earth. These are the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
God is present to us by His Spirit in all these aspects.
However, the absence of wisdom can distance a man from God and His ways. Lack of understanding can distance a man from God and His works.
When we do not walk by the counsel of God, we create circumstances that alienate us from God.
When we do not know how He defines strength and might, we distance ourselves from Him.
Knowledge is a vital part of our relationship with God for we cannot claim proximity to a God we do not know.
When we do not walk in the fear of God, we subject ourselves to a life that is indifferent and distant from Him.
God is not distant. If you feel that He is, question the wisdom, understanding and knowledge by which you live. Seek to understand His strength and might and what it means to fear the Lord.

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this knowledge. What a blessed assurance to know that You are not far; that You are with me, in me and for me. I live my life as one who knows that in You I live, move and have my being. I build this consciousness every day, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
