Apostle Grace Lubega
Genesis 1:27 (KJV); So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Man was God’s greatest idea because he was created in His image and likeness.
In describing the wonder that is man, St. Augustine once said, “Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.”
While the known universe and the order within its laws are a source of awe, it is an infallible fact that man is the true centerpiece of God’s intelligent design.
Because man is, God could not allow him to live in a fallen state forever.
Nothing disturbs God like seeing a corrupted version of Himself. This is why Jesus came. The image of God could not be allowed to exist in a perpetual state of corruption.
And so, in 1 Peter 1:23, He says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.”
Man is still God’s greatest idea and He gave us His Word to remind us of this. Every time we look into the mirror of the Word, we do not behold corruption. We see ourselves as He sees us; we see Him.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Man is still God’s greatest idea and He gave us His Word to remind us of this. Every time we look into the mirror of the Word, we do not behold corruption. We see ourselves as He sees us; we see Him.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the greatness that You have placed in us, which greatness is based on the oneness we have with You. I choose to behold incorruption in all that I do because that is the seed of which I am begotten, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
