Apostle Grace Lubega
Matthew 12:36–37 (KJV): “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”
—
Jesus taught that every idle word we speak will be accounted for.
What is an idle word? It is anything not spoken in the revelation of God’s Word, or directly contradicts what God has said.
Idle words are dangerous because they carry power. Jesus likens them to a courtroom verdict, they can justify or condemn.
This means that if you say, “I am sick,” it will be so. Why? Because your words establish the terms of your reality.
Proverbs 18:21 declares that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Every time you speak, you are either creating life or inviting death into your situation. The enemy knows this, which is why he seeks to compel you to speak fear, defeat, and doubt, for once such words leave your mouth they begin to shape your world.
Learn to agree with God and what His Word says about you. Speak faith, and let your lips echo His truth in every season. Remember, your mouth is not merely for speaking, it is for establishing the will of God in your life.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the power You have placed in my words. I refuse to speak idle words that contradict Your truth. I speak truth in faith at all times, whatever the situation. My mouth will always agree with Your Word, and I shall see life in every area of my existence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
