Apostle Grace Lubega
Revelation 2:4(KJV); Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
The Lord is our first love. He is the beginning and end of the life of salvation and everything in between.
However, some Christians tend to forget this when they receive the many things that accompany salvation (Hebrews 6:9).
When the Lord blesses and increases them, the things He has blessed them with start to compete with God Himself.
Examine your life, child of God. Are your job, business, spouse or children competing with God?
Think back to the days when you did not have these things? Did you serve, love and honour God more than you do now?
If this is the case, chances are that you have forsaken your first love.
God did not give you those things so that they replace Him. He is and should always remain your first love.
Any increase in your life should in fact draw you close to Him.

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for who You are to me. You are everything to me and the centre of all that I do. My heart is Yours. No matter how I grow and multiply, You will always be my Alpha and Omega, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
