Apostle Grace Lubega
Luke 22:35 (KJV): “And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.”

The Church is not a charity case. It never has been, and it never should be.
When Jesus walked the earth, He sent His disciples out with no money, no bag, and no extra shoes. Later, He asked them, “Did you lack anything?” and they replied, “Nothing.” This was not a coincidence; it was a lesson in divine provision.
Some people today believe the Church can only survive through government support or the generosity of outsiders. But that is not how God designed His Church to function. The Church is not a weak or struggling organization trying to survive on the world’s terms. It is sustained by the power, wisdom, and resources of God Himself.
We serve a God who brought a coin out of the mouth of a fish to pay taxes (Matthew 17:27). We serve a God who rained manna from heaven to feed His people in the wilderness (Exodus 16:4–15). We serve a God who multiplied five loaves and two fish to feed thousands (Matthew 14:13–21).
His work has never depended on sponsorship from the world.
When the Church forgets this truth, it becomes vulnerable to influence and control from systems and voices that do not speak for God. But when we remember that He alone is our Source, we remain bold, free, and focused on fulfilling His purpose in His way.
What does this mean for you personally? It means that your life is also sustained by God, not by man. You do not have to depend on people to make it. If God has called you to something, He will provide for it. Trust Him completely. He is more than enough. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: The Church is not a charity case. It never has been, and it never should be.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for being my provider. I look to You alone as my source and my sustainer. With my eyes fixed on You, I will never lack. As King David declared, I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread. This is my testimony and story. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
