Apostle Grace Lubega
Exodus 3:6,13,14 (KJV); Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God…And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you
‘My God’ is not an expression of surprise or shock. It is not a figure of speech. It is the testimony of men and women who have owned God.
God wants to share His identity with you. He does not want to only be called the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He also wants to be called your God.
Why do people struggle to pray? How come some don’t know how to talk to Him?
It is all because they have not known Him as their God. This relationship is not personal for them yet. He is known as God but He is not their God.
He is the God of their pastors, the God of their prophets and the God of their apostles but He is not theirs.
They are still looking to other men to share their God with them. They are still depending on other people’s intimacy with God. They are living under the shadow of other men’s relationship with God.
“My God” should cease to be merely a statement in passing. He must be truly yours.
Seek and understand Him as your God, because He owns more deeply those who own Him.

GOLDEN NUGGET: God wants to share His identity with you. He does not want to only be called the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He also wants to be called your God.
PRAYER: My God, my Father and my Lord, I thank You. You are mine as surely as I am Yours. My life is Yours as surely as Yours is in me. My heart is Yours as surely as Yours is mine. Intimacy is the story of my walk with You. In this understanding, my communion is deepened every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
