1 Corinthians 9:27 (KJV); But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
The Bible says in Romans 11:29 that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance. This means that if one is gifted, for example prophetically, God will not take away the gift of prophecy from that man once He has given it to him. When God gifts a man with the ability to perform great miracles, God will not take away that gift, simply because the man sinned or fell short in one way or the other.
As you may have noticed, anointed men shrouded in scandal can still demonstrate the power of God, heal the sick and prophesy.
While God may not take away the gifts He has given to us, He can reallocate the assignments of our lives. He will not change His mind about the gift but He does change His mind about His assignments.
Why?
It is because the assignments are tagged to divine purpose. Paul was very aware of this fact when he said in our theme scripture that he had to put his body under subjection so that once he had preached, he himself would not be cast away. He lived in holy fear of being disqualified.
When God calls you and gives you a mandate, do not be deceived into thinking that He does not have options, you are merely His first choice. If you are indifferent to the gravity of the assignment, if you refuse to apply yourself to the principles that grow you in the assignment or if you treat it lightly, He will look for another man and replace you. He will leave you with your gift, but you will lose the bigger thing, which is your part in His grand plan and purpose.
Child of God, it is not enough to be gifted. You may be gifted yet are presently outside divine purpose. You must examine yourself to ensure that You are in the perfect will of God as regards His assignment for your life.

1 Wakorintho 9:27 (KJV); Bali nautesa mwili wangu na kuutumikisha; isiwe, nikiisha kuwahubiri wengine, mwenyewe niwe mtu wa kukataliwa.
Biblia inasema katika Warumi 11:29 kwamba karama za Mungu hazina majuto, wala mwito wake. Hii ina maana kwamba ikiwa mtu ana karama, kwa mfano kinabii, Mungu hatamwondolea mtu huyo karama ya unabii baada ya kumpa. Mungu anapompa mwanadamu uwezo wa kufanya miujiza mikubwa, Mungu hataondoa karama hiyo, kwa sababu mtu huyo alitenda dhambi au alikosa kwa njia moja au nyingine.
Kama unavyoweza kuwa umeona, watu waliotiwa mafuta waliogubikwa na kashfa bado wanaweza kudhihirisha uwezo wa Mungu, kuponya wagonjwa na kutoa unabii.
Ingawa Mungu huenda asiondoe karama ambazo ametupa, anaweza kugawa upya migawo ya maisha yetu. Hatabadili mawazo Yake kuhusu karama hiyo lakini Anabadilisha mawazo Yake kuhusu kazi Zake.
Kwa nini?
Ni kwa sababu kazi hizo huambatana na kusudi la Mungu. Paulo alijua sana jambo hili aliposema katika andiko letu kuu kwamba alipaswa kuweka mwili wake chini ya utiisho ili kwamba mara tu akishahubiri, yeye mwenyewe asikataliwe. Aliishi katika hofu takatifu ya kutostahili.
Mungu anapokuita na kukupa agizo, usidanganywe kwa kufikiria kuwa hana chaguo lingine, wewe ni chaguo lake la kwanza tu. Ikiwa haujali uzito wa mgawo huo, ikiwa unakataa kujishughulisha na kanuni zinazokukuza katika mgawo huo au ukiuchukulia mgawo huo kwa wepesi, Atatafuta mtu mwingine na kuchukua nafasi yako. Atakuacha na karama yako, lakini utapoteza kitu kikubwa zaidi, ambacho ni sehemu yako katika mpango na kusudi lake kuu.
Mtoto wa Mungu, haitoshi kuwa na karama. Unaweza kuwa na karama lakini kwa sasa uko nje ya kusudi la Mungu. Ni lazima ujichunguze mwenyewe ili kuhakikisha kwamba uko katika mapenzi kamili ya Mungu kuhusu mgawo Wake juu ya maisha yako.

Atakuacha na karama yako, lakini utapoteza kitu kikubwa zaidi, ambacho ni sehemu yako katika mpango na kusudi lake kuu.
SALA: Baba Mpenzi, Nakushukuru kwa kweli hii. Hofu ya Mungu imenifundisha kutochukulia migawo kwa wepesi. Ninajua ulichoniitia kufanya. Niko hai kwa kusudi la Mungu na mipango Yako kwa kizazi changu.
