Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 1:1 (KJV); Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
If you desire success in life, you must make the choice never to keep company with people who set themselves against the ways of God. Our theme scripture calls such company the seat of the scornful or the way of sinners.
Sometimes, judgment comes upon people, not because they are wicked and ungodly but because they keep company with such individuals.
Why would a Christian dedicate precious time to a conversation that is centred on ridiculing, criticizing and smearing the name of a fellow Christian or a spiritual authority?
Why would you maintain a long and lasting relationship with a person whose every conversational topic is what is wrong with one sister or brother?
Character is contagious. Your friends matter. If you are serious about your success, vet your friends and ensure that those whose hearts are set against the precepts of God are not in the immediate ambit of your circle of influence.
This does not mean that you do not love them. It only means that sometimes, friendship with the wrong people is too high a price to pay, if it costs you the positioning for the success you must see in God.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. You have called me to greatness. I make friends based on this consciousness. My inner circle is of people who know You and fear You. I can never be found to sit in the counsel of the scornful because wisdom is continuously on my lips. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
