In dealing with spiritual authority, our theme scripture urges us to consider the end of their conversation. We are to observe their lives.
However, this is not just a physical observation. It is a spiritual observation that entails understanding their spiritual identity.
Elisha had to realise that Elijah was the horsemen and chariot of Israel. Timothy had to understand that Paul was the chosen master builder of the foundation of the new dispensation.
You can never truly honour a man or woman when you do not have a revelation of who that man or woman is in the spirit.
If you honour a man that you do not know, that kind of honour can easily become idolatry.
Child of God, submission to spiritual authority is not only about finding someone to whom you account your life as the scripture requires. It also entails understanding the spiritual identity of the man or woman you seek to honour.
