Apostle Grace Lubega
1 Corinthians 14:4 (KJV); He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
Every believer should speak in tongues. If he does not, he should believe God for the gift of spiritual language.
In our theme scripture, the Greek word used for edify is ‘oikodomeo’ which is translated among other things to mean ‘build a house, erect a building or restore by building.’
This means that as you pray in tongues, you build yourself in faith, in wisdom, in revelation, in understanding and in spiritual strength.
By the speaking of tongues, you also ‘repair yourself.’ It means that if you ever find yourself struggling with faith, feeling spiritually weakened and discouraged, simply speak in tongues. As you speak, strength starts to rise and grace is made available for you to do what you must do.
In Mark 16:17, the Bible says that these signs shall follow those that believe: they shall SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES. The speaking of tongues is the mark of a believer in Christ.
Never underestimate the power of speaking in tongues: therein is your rejuvenation and strengthening.
