Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 10:17 (KJV); Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
Humility is one of the lessons God teaches a man while He prepares Him for success.
Before God opens certain doors to us, He requires that we understand what true humility is. It is in the acquisition of this understanding that He begins to prepare us for those doors to be opened.
Our theme scripture reveals that He prepares the heart and causes a man to hear Him.
Why do some men fail despite attaining a certain level of success? It is because they were not humble enough to hear the voice of God.
Riches and influence have the negative effect of shutting some men’s ears to the voice of counsel. As such, they make the kind of decisions that send them tumbling off the pinnacle of success into the murky waters of defeat, scandal and frustration.
The Bible in James 4:6 says that God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Humility is the double-edged sword by which God hears us and by which we hear Him.
