Apostle Grace Lubega
1 Thessalonians 5:6 (KJV); Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
A church that gets shocked and surprised by unfortunate events is a sleeping church. A church that does not see evil from afar and evades it is a sleeping church. A church that drowns under the impact of catastrophic events is a sleeping church.
You may own a great facility, have wonderful homes, have great jobs and yet be asleep.
Over the years, history has mocked Christians who were found to be asleep by life-altering events.
When tongue speaking Bible believing Christians drowned in the tsunami, it was because they were asleep while the enemy plotted their destruction.
When COVID-19 struck the world and found churches ill-prepared for its devastating effect, it was because the Church was asleep.
The Church of Christ is not supposed to be a sleeping Church. God expects us to be fully alive to events in the realm of the spirit and anticipate them even before they happen.
Everything that comes into the world starts from the spiritual realm, be it good or bad. We are supposed to be the first point of reference because God has best equipped us to appropriate spiritual realities into the physical realm.
Awaken child of God. Be sober. Watch and Pray.
