Apostle Grace Lubega
1 Thessalonians 5:19 (AMP); Do not quench [subdue, or be unresponsive to the working and guidance of] the [Holy] Spirit.
Many Christians are indifferent to the Holy Spirit without knowing it. They treat Him with casual familiarity and then wonder why He does not move in their lives like He ought.
When the anointing is present, how do you respond to Him?
For example, what makes you think that service time is the right moment to strike a conversation with your neighbor about what a certain sister or brother did last week? Why is worship time the ideal moment for you to begin a Whatsapp chat about what you think is wrong with a particular brother? Is time in the presence of God the ideal moment for you to browse your Facebook feed for how many likes you have collected for your latest post?
Some Christians treat the presence of God with less reverence than witchdoctors treat their shrines or Muslims treat their mosques. All this is under the misguided assumption that God does not mind because He is a loving and tolerant Father.
Learn this: every time you are in the presence of God, honour Him. Treat Him with the reverence that He deserves. Avoid anything that may disconnect you from experiencing His presence. Use every moment with Him as an opportunity to plug into what He is doing. That is how we build and maintain a relationship with Him.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Every time you are in the presence of God, honour Him. Treat Him with the reverence that He deserves. That is how we build and maintain a relationship with Him.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this knowledge. Your presence is precious to me, and I have learnt by experience, to exercise my spirit to respond to You when You are in any place. I can never miss you through indifference because I know who You are and what You can do, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
