Apostle Grace Lubega
Romans 8:26 (KJV); Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Effective prayer is only possible with the aid of the Holy Spirit. The mistake many Christians make is that when they go to God in prayer, they forget their helper. In prayer, God does not expect you to go alone, He gave you the Holy Spirit for a reason.
Prayer is most effective when made with the aid of the Holy Spirit.
One of the chief ways He helps us in prayer is explained in our theme scripture. The Bible says that we do not know what we should pray for as we ought.
You may be praying for a job when the real problem is not the lack of a job. You may be praying for a spouse yet in God’s plan, a spouse is not what you need right now. You may be interceding for your child’s depression yet you do not understand the true source of the problem.
The Holy Spirit has a 360 degree view of any circumstance that you are struggling with. Only He can give you the right language to frame your request before God. He knows the real issue and when you ask Him to help you pray, He will tell you exactly what you should be asking for.
Child of God, today I urge you to embrace this wisdom. If you feel stuck and stranded because of any particular issue, ask the Spirit of God to help you pray. Allow Him to give you the right words, to tell you what the real issue is. Pray with the Spirit. He is the foundation of effective prayer.
