Apostle Grace Lubega
Ecclesiastes 10:4 (KJV); If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.
When the Bible speaks of the spirit of a ruler, it means a person with authority over you. This might be a parent, a pastor, a supervisor or one’s husband.
If that individual, for one reason or the other, became angry and acted in a manner that annoyed and irritated you, God says, never leave your place.
People leave their places in a number of ways. There are those who forget who they are and retaliate in kind. For example, one might get into verbal or physical combat with a parent or spouse.
Others quit their jobs, ministries or marriages prematurely, bristling with offence at how unjustly they have been treated. Others may not physically leave but might mentally and emotionally withdraw from an endeavor and practice malicious obedience.
God expects you to be more thick-skinned than that! Never abort your destiny based on emotions! If you must quit something, then it should only be because God has spoken.
Always keep your place and leave it to God. He is just! As long as your heart is pure before Him, He will vindicate you.
