Joshua 6:22-23 (KJV); But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot’s house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her. And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.
God can save an entire household in spite of who is in it. He can save an entire family because of one man.
In our theme scripture, one righteous act by Rahab was enough to save her and her household. The Bible reveals that the spies spared her father, her mother, her brother, her brethren and all that she had.
How about Noah? In Genesis 7:1, the Bible says, “And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.” The Bible says that Noah was a righteous man. It does not say that Noah and his children were all righteous. Because of Noah’s righteousness, God covered Noah’s children too and protected them from the flood.
How about Cornelius? One man’s devotion to God saved his whole household. In Acts 10:24, the Bible reveals that after Cornelius had sent for Peter as per God’s instruction, he “called together his kinsmen and near friends.” When Peter prayed and the Holy Spirit descended upon all that were gathered, the Bible does not say that only Cornelius received the baptism of the Spirit. In Acts 10:44, the Bible says, “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on ALL of them which heard the word.”
Your devotion to God is not for your benefit alone. There is a reason why it is you who is in an active relationship with God. God wants to change your family because of the relationship you have with Him. He wants to change the destiny of your entire household because of your prayers.
Never take it for granted that it is you who is the man of prayer in your family. It is not by accident that you are devout and continually seeking Him.

WOKOVU KUPITIA KWAKO

Yoshua 6:22-23 (KJV); Naye Yoshua akawaambia wale wanaume wawili walioipeleleza nchi, Ingieni katika nyumba ya yule kahaba, mkamtoe huyo mwanamke mwenyewe na vitu vyote alivyo navyo, kama mlivyomwapia. Basi wale vijana wapelelezi wakaingia, wakamtoa Rahabu, na baba yake, na mama yake, na ndugu zake, na vitu vyote walivyokuwa navyo, wakawatoa na jamaa zake wote pia; wakawaweka nje ya matuo ya Israeli.
Mungu anaweza kuokoa jamii nzima licha ya nani yuko ndani. Anaweza kuokoa familia nzima kwa sababu ya mtu mmoja.
Katika andiko letu kuu, tendo moja la haki la Rahabu lilitosha kumuokoa yeye na nyumba yake. Biblia inafunua kwamba wapelelezi walimuokoa baba yake, mama yake, kaka yake, kaka zake na kila kitu alichokuwa nacho.
Vipi kuhusu Nuhu? Katika Matendo 10:24, Biblia inafunua kwamba baada ya Kornelio kutuma watu kwa Petro kwa maagizo ya Mungu, yeye alikuwa “amekusanya jamaa zake na rafiki zake.” Wakati Petro aliomba na Roho Mtakatifu alishuka juu ya wote waliokusanyika, Biblia haisemi kwamba ni Kornelio tu aliyepokea ubatizo wa Roho. Kujitoa kwako kwa Mungu sio kwa faida yako peke yako. Kuna sababu kwa nini ni wewe uliye katika uhusiano wa dhati na Mungu. Mungu anataka kubadilisha familia yako kwa sababu ya uhusiano ulio nao na Yeye. Anataka kubadilisha hatima ya jamii yako yote kwa sababu ya maombi yako.
Kamwe usichukulie kawaida kuwa wewe ndiye mtu wa maombi katika familia yako. Sio kwa bahati mbaya kuwa wewe ni mcha Mungu na unamtafuta kila wakati.
