Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 90:14 (KJV); O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
One of the things you should be wary of is settling for less than what God desires for you. I have seen this reality play out in the lives of so many believers.
There is a Christian in this world who believed God for so long to give him a job and when it came it defined his ultimate satisfaction that there was nothing more for him to pursue in the Lord.
The tragedy of his success story is that to God, this Christian was destined to influence millions but he never saw it.
For many others, a spouse, a long sought after child, or a thriving business satisfied them. When their achievements are weighed against, the scales of divine assignment, it can only be said that their lives are truly out of balance.
What does it mean for God to satisfy you?
God satisfies men through hunger for Him; not through jobs, marriages, bigger bank balances or nice cars. In Matthew 5:6, He says, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. The blessing is in the hunger. Like the Message Version puts it “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God…”
FURTHER STUDY: Matthew 5:6, Psalm 107:9
GOLDEN NUGGET: God satisfies men through hunger for Him; not through jobs, marriages, bigger bank balances or nice cars.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. Thank you for opening my eyes to what a true seeker should pursue. Like the Psalmist says, my soul pants after you. The Bible says You satisfy the longing soul and the hungry soul You fill with good things. I am hungrier today than I was yesterday and will be hungrier tomorrow than I am today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
