Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 82:5-7 (KJV): “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”

Vacuums exist in the realm of the spirit. These emerge when those assigned by God to a responsibility fail to carry out His will, whether through rebellion, compromise, or indifference.
When divine assignments are neglected, the order of the spirit is frustrated.
A clear example is found in the priesthood of Eli. Though chosen to steward holy things, Eli and his sons treated God’s office with contempt. Their failure created a spiritual vacuum in Israel, one that disrupted the nation’s spiritual health. In response, God had to raise Samuel—a faithful vessel—to stand in the gap and restore divine order.
When such vacuums appear, the consequences are not merely personal. The “foundations of the earth” are affected.
Today’s devotion is a call to sober reflection. Our response to God’s call carries weight beyond our individual lives. Obedience can preserve families, nations, and generations. Likewise, neglect can open doors to decay, delay, and loss for multitudes of people. God will always fulfil His purposes but the question remains: Will you be the one He uses, or will He raise another in your place?

GOLDEN NUGGET: Our response to God’s call carries weight beyond our individual lives. Obedience can preserve families, nations, and generations.
PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for the privilege of being called to serve Your purposes in the earth. I repent for any moments of indifference or rebellion where I have neglected Your call. You restore in me a sensitivity to Your voice and a willingness to obey fully. My life brings light where there has been darkness, and healing where there has been disorder. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
