Apostle Grace Lubega
Ezekiel 22:30 (KJV); And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
The mind of the Spirit of the Lord is towards men. What God did, is presently doing, and will always do in the future is for the sake of mankind.
In Psalm 8:4, David puzzled over the question, “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?”
It had dawned on him that man was at the centre of all of God’s plans and purposes.
As a minister of the gospel, you will never understand how God works until you give yourself to serve men and be available for them.
In our theme scripture, God searches for a man to stand in the gap and found none because when His eyes moved to and fro in the land, the people He encountered had their hearts set on themselves and not on other men. In fact, in the previous verse, the Bible says that they used oppression, exercised robbery, vexed the poor and needy, and oppressed the stranger wrongfully (Ezekiel 22:29).
Do you want to be used by God? Position yourself in deep and selfless service to people. This is what defines the available heart.

GOLDEN NUGGET: As a minister of the gospel, you will never understand how God works until you give yourself to serve men and be available for them.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I thank You for Your work in my life. You have opened my eyes to Your desires and it is by them that I live. I choose to spend myself for the transformation of others because that is where Your heart is, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
