Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 16:11 (KJV); Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Many people in this world are slaves to pleasure. For pleasure, they have broken their marriages, destroyed their careers and abandoned the work of the gospel.
But the Lord has called us to live above pleasure because not everything you do in the Kingdom of God will be pleasurable.
Sometimes, you must pray for those that have caused you great pain and suffering, is that pleasurable? No.
Sometimes, God will instruct you to give to your enemies and your greatest persecutors, is that pleasurable? No.
This means that as a child of God, you must reconcile pleasure with divine purpose.
No matter how pleasurable something may seem, you must weigh it on the scales of divine assignment and judge its contribution to the call of God upon your life.
In our theme scripture, God defines for us true pleasure. This true pleasure is to be found in the presence of God, in waiting on Him, loving Him and serving Him.

GOLDEN NUGGET: As a child of God, you must reconcile pleasure with divine purpose. True pleasure is to be found in the presence of God, in waiting on Him, loving Him and serving Him.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the pleasure of Your presence, it is surely like heaven to me. I make the deliberate choice to always maximise my moments with You. I yield to Your presence, seek it and delight in it every day of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
