Apostle Grace Lubega
John 1:5 (KJV); And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The Greek word for ‘comprehended’ in our theme scripture is ‘katalambano’ which is translated to mean, ‘to lay hold of’.
In any single fight between light and darkness, darkness can never stand a chance because it cannot hold, seize or stop light.
Take this simple example. When you walk into a dark room and switch on the light, darkness does not struggle against light, fighting to extinguish it so that it can rule, it simply ceases to be.
This means that darkness has no power. It simply is the absence of light. The moment light gets into a place, darkness flees.
St. Francis of Assisi said, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle”
In Psalm 119:130, the Bible says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light.”
If you are struggling with any form of darkness, for example, the darkness of disease, poverty or addiction, all you need is light; the Word.
Darkness is defenceless against the Word.

GOLDEN NUGGET: If you are struggling with any form of darkness, for example, the darkness of disease, poverty or addiction, all you need is light; the Word. Darkness is defenceless against the Word.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You because I am a child of light. Your Word floods my soul and changes the circumstances of my life. At Your Word, disease flees, death is vanquished and poverty is defeated. I turn on the light of Your Word in my life and watch with awe as any darkness vanishes, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
