Revelation 3:1 (KJV); And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
There is nothing as dangerous as a man’s ignorance of his true state before God.
Such was the fate of the church in Sardis. They had a name that they were alive and yet to God, they were dead.
In John 8:32-33, Jesus spoke to men afflicted with similar blindness. When our Lord told them that they shall know the truth and the truth shall make them free, they claimed that they were the seed of Abraham and had never been in bondage to any man.
But the men claiming this freedom were at that point under Roman rule but could aver that they had never been in bondage to any man.
It is only a man who knows his true state who can make an honest and pure prayer to God. Such a man is exemplified by the tax collector in Luke 18, who beat his breast and could not even look up to heaven and cried, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ The Bible says that he returned home justified before God.
This is why humility is extremely important in how we relate with God. It keeps us from pride and its deception. When God exposes to a man his true state, He breaks the man to mend him and kills him to make him live.

GOLDEN NUGGET: It is only a man who knows his true state who can make an honest and pure prayer to God. This is why humility is extremely important in how we relate with God. It keeps us from pride and its deception. When God exposes to a man his true state, He breaks the man to mend him and kills him to make him live.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this knowledge. Thank You for revealing to me my true state. I yield to Your Spirit as He breaks me for Your purposes. All manner of pride is far from me. I choose to die daily, that I may live before You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Tewali kintu kibi ng’omuntu obutamanya mbeera ye entuufu mu maaso ga Katonda.
Bw’etyo ye yali entuuko y’ekkanisa y’omu Saadi. Baalina erinnya nti baali balamu naye nga eri Katonda, baali bafu.
Mu Yokaana 8:32-33, Yesu yayogera ku bantu abanyigirizibwa n’obuzibe bw’amaaso bwe bumu. Mukama waffe bwe yabagamba nti balimanya amazima era na mazima galibafuula ab’eddembe, baagamba nti bo zzadde lya Ibulayimu era tebafugibwanga muntu yenna.
Naye abantu abaali bagamba nti balina eddembe lino mu kiseera ekyo baali wansi w’obufuzi bw’abaruumi naye baali basobola okwegaana nti tebafugibwanga muntu yenna.
Omuntu yekka amanyi embeera ye entuufu y’asobola okusaba essaala ey’obwesimbu era enongoofu eri Katonda. Omuntu bw’atyo ageraageranyizibwa n’omuwooza w’omusolo mu Lukka 18, eyeekuba mu kifuba era nga tayinza nakutunula mu ggulu era n’akaaba, ‘Katonda, nsaasira, nze omwononyi.’ Baibuli egamba nti yaddayo ewaka ng’aweereddwa obutuukirivu mu maaso ga Katonda.

AKASUMBI KA ZAABU: Omuntu yekka amanyi embeera ye entuufu y’asobola okusaba essaala ey’obwesimbu era enongoofu eri Katonda. Eno y’ensonga lwaki obuwombeefu bwa mugaso nnyo mu ngeri gye tukolaganamu ne Katonda. Kitukuuma okuva eri amalala n’obulimba bwago. Okushuuruurirwa kwa Yohaana 3:1; Handiikira maraika w’ekanisa y’omuri Saadi, oti: Ebi nibyo bigambo by’Ogwo oine emyoyo mushanju ya Ruhanga, kandi n’ezonyonyoozi mushanju. Naagira ati: Nimmanya ebi okora; oine eiziina ry’okuba ohuriire, kwonka ori ofiire.
Tihariho ekintu kibi nk’omuntu otarikumanya oku ari omu maisho ga Ruhanga.
Oku nikwo Ekanisa ya Saadi yabaire eri. Bakaba baine eiziina ngu nabahuriire kandi obwo ahari Ruhanga, bakaba bafiire.
Omu Yohaana 8:32, Yesu akagambira abantu ababaire batarikwemanya nkabo. Mukama waitu kuyabagambeire ati muryamanya amazima, n’amazima garyabahindura ab’obusingye, bakaba nibagira ngu nibaijukuru ba Abrahamu kandi ngu tibakahakwaga muntu weena.
Kwonka abantu ababaire nibateekateeka ngu barigye eshaaha egyo bakaba bari ahansi y’obutegyeki bw’Abarooma kwonka bakaba nibahamya ngu tibakahakwaga muntu weena.
N’omuntu orikumanya amazima g’eki ari wenka orikubaasa kushaba eshaara y’amazima kandi ehikire ahari Ruhanga. Omuntu ogwo nashushanisibwa n’omuhooza omu kitabo kya Luka 18, owayeteirateire omu kifuba atinamwiire n’amaisho gye kureeba ahaiguru, akarira nagira ati: ‘Ruhanga, onsaasire nyowe omusiisi.’ Baiburi negira ngu akagaruka owe ayihirweho orubanja omu maisho ga Ruhanga.
Nikyo ahabw’enki okwecureeza nikukuru omu mukago gwaitu na Ruhanga. Nikuturinda okwetunguura n’ebishuba byaakwo. Ruhanga ku arikworeka omuntu amazima g’eki ari, namuhenda kumwombeka kandi amwiita ngu atungye amagara.

Omu Yohaana 8:32-33, Yesu akabaliza abantu abakaba bateirwe omumulingo gumu ogw’obutarora. Mukamu waitu obuyabagambire ngu nibaija kumanya amananu kandi amananu garabafoora bobugabe, ubo bakitwaraaga ngu bakaba Bali nsigo ya Aburahamu kandi tibakabaga omubusibe hali omuntu weena.

KUJUA HALI YA MOYO WAKO

Ufunuo 3:1 (KJV); Na kwa malaika wa kanisa lililoko Sardi andika; Haya ndiyo anenayo yeye aliye na hizo Roho saba za Mungu, na zile nyota saba; Nayajua matendo yako, ya kuwa una jina la kuwa hai, nawe umekufa.
Hakuna kitu hatari kama mwanadamu kutojua hali yake halisi mbele za Mungu.
Ndivyo ilivyokuwa hatima ya kanisa la Sardi. Walikuwa na jina kwamba walikuwa hai ilhali kwa Mungu, walikuwa wamekufa.
Katika Yohana 8:32-33, Yesu alizungumza na watu waliokuwa na upofu kama huo. Bwana wetu alipowaambia kwamba watajua kweli na kweli itawaweka huru, walidai kuwa wao ni uzao wa Ibrahimu na hawakuwahi kuwa utumwani mwa mtu yeyote.
Lakini watu waliodai uhuru huu walikuwa wakati huo chini ya utawala wa Warumi lakini wangeweza kudai kwamba hawakuwahi kuwa utumwani mwa mtu yeyote.
Ni mtu pekee anayejua hali yake halisi ndiye anayeweza kufanya sala ya uaminifu na safi kwa Mungu. Mtu wa namna hii anaonyeshwa mfano na mtoza ushuru katika Luka 18, ambaye alijipiga kifua na hakuweza hata kutazama mbinguni na kulia, ‘Mungu, nirehemu mimi mwenye dhambi.’ Biblia inasema kwamba alirudi nyumbani akiwa amehesabiwa haki mbele za Mungu. .
Hii ndiyo sababu unyenyekevu ni muhimu sana katika jinsi tunavyohusiana na Mungu. Inatuepusha na kiburi na udanganyifu wake. Mungu anapomfunulia mwanadamu hali yake halisi, humvunja mtu ili kumtengeneza na kumuua ili kumfanya aishi.

MASOMO YA ZIADA: Luka 18:10-14, Zaburi 51:17
UJUMBE MKUU: Ni mtu pekee anayejua hali yake halisi ndiye anayeweza kufanya sala ya uaminifu na safi kwa Mungu. Hii ndiyo sababu unyenyekevu ni muhimu sana katika jinsi tunavyohusiana na Mungu. Inatuepusha na kiburi na udanganyifu wake. Mungu anapomfunulia mwanadamu hali yake halisi, humvunja mtu ili kumtengeneza na kumuua ili kumfanya aishi.
SALA: Baba Mpenzi, Nakushukuru kwa ufahamu huu. Asante kwa kunifunulia hali yangu halisi. Ninajisalimisha kwa Roho Wako anaponivunja kwa makusudi Yako. Kila namna ya kiburi iko mbali nami. Ninachagua kufa kila siku, ili nipate kuishi mbele zako, katika jina la Yesu, Amina.
