The Phaneroo Devotion: To Live By Every Word

Matthew 4:4 (KJV); But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
We do not live by a few favourable words but we live by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Our theme scripture seeks to teach us the necessity of investing everything we can to understand ALL the scriptures.
We cannot afford to understand some parts and ignore others. While some portions of the Bible may hold higher truths than others, it does not mean that these truths are not important for our understanding.
For example, there are those who think the Old Testament is not important to the new creature yet in Luke 24:27, the Bible says of Christ, “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.”
If you disregard the Old Testament, it means that you reject even the truths about Christ that are revealed therein.
Living by every Word means that we understand the scriptures in totality and not simply by picking out parts that are only convenient for us.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Word. Thank You for what it has done in my life. The Bible says that all scripture is God-breathed and profitable. I study the Word with this understanding and by it, I am established in truth, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Tetusobola kutegeerako bitundu bimu ne tubuusa ebirala amaaso. Wadde ng’ebitundu ebimu ebya Baibuli biyinza okuba n’amazima aga waggulu ku bitundu ebirala, tekitegeeza nti amazima gano si makulu ku lw’entegeera yaffe.

Mathayo 4:4 (KJV); Naye akajibu akasema, Imeandikwa, Mtu hataishi kwa mkate tu, ila kwa kila neno litokalo katika kinywa cha Mungu.
Hatuishi kwa maneno machache mazuri bali tunaishi kwa KILA neno litokalo katika kinywa cha Mungu.
Maandiko yetu ya mada yanalenga kutufundisha umuhimu wa kuwekeza kila kitu tunaweza ili kuelewa maandiko YOTE.
Hatuwezi kumudu kuelewa baadhi ya sehemu na kupuuza zingine. Ingawa sehemu fulani za Biblia zinaweza kuwa na kweli za juu zaidi kuliko nyingine, haimaanishi kwamba kweli hizo si za maana kwa uelewa wetu.
Kwa mfano, wapo wanaofikiri Agano la Kale si muhimu kwa kiumbe kipya ilhali katika Luka 24:27, Biblia inasema kuhusu Kristo, “Akianzia Musa na manabii wote, akawafafanulia katika maandiko yote mambo yanayomhusu yeye mwenyewe.”
Ukipuuza Agano la Kale, ina maana kwamba unakataa hata kweli kuhusu Kristo ambazo zimefunuliwa humo.
Kuishi kwa kila Neno kunamaanisha kwamba tunaelewa maandiko kwa ujumla na si kwa kuchagua tu sehemu zinazotufaa sisi.
