Apostle Grace Lubega
Acts 10:19-21(KJV); While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them. Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
The apostle Peter was given the grace by God to minister to the Jews. In Galatians 2:7, the Bible reveals to us that the gospel to the Jews, they of the circumcision, was committed to Peter.
The question then is, why did God deliberately send Peter to Cornelius, a Gentile? Why did He break a principle for the sake of Cornelius?
The answer is that when a man seeks a relationship with God, God will overlook certain principles and laws to get to that man. That is the power of a heart that is open to a relationship with God!
Often times, we get caught up in traditions, in the things that we think we must do to get to God; we are caught up in cleaning up our acts so that we can be more acceptable to Him and yet He seems so much further away. On the other side of the spectrum is a man for whom God is moving heaven and earth to get to.
Being under a covenant is not enough. Practising the principles in the scriptures is a great thing but neither is it enough!
Be open to a relationship!
Every relationship requires time, therefore, give God your time. Every relationship requires attention, give God your attention.
